Depending upon your writing style, and probably your screen protector, you can choose the nib that best suits you. I prefer the harder white, as there is less drag on the nib. The nib glides effortlessly. My only gripe is the lack of an eraser function. My primary use is meeting notes, which then SkyDrive and sync back to my work laptop and phone. I rarely tote my keyboard around, and my choice of case reflects this.
I bought the Moko Slim cover, which includes a holder for my upgraded stylus. Unfortunately, it prevents use of the dock. I was having to constantly remove the tablet from its cover. I have since bought a Thankscase, which allows the machine to dock without being fully removed from its cover. It was really bugging me for a while.
Rob, thanks for your comments on the pens and cases. Regarding the display driver, I have been holding off upgrading the Tablet 2 to Win 8. So, no, I have not had any of those issues yet. But Penpressure response differs a LOT, Note pen being the softest, the X60 pen being the mellow , with nice spread from thin to broad, the EP being more heavy handed, and the old 3button Wacom Tablet pen being for the Neanderthaler among us, and very short spread from thin to Heavy.
I have a TP2 since 2 years ago. Sorry Martin, I quit using the TP2 about a year or so ago, so no thoughts on what might have led to the issues. By the way, as I recall the pen does not use a battery. Hello my friend! I want to say that this post is awesome, nice written and come with almost all important infos. I know this is a bit late. I ordered the Amazon linked pen and received a Thinkpad X60 pen which was incompatible with my Thinkpad Tablet 2, so I returned it.

Michael Linenberger's Blog. Skip to content. Home page All blog posts. The side-button is tiny and hard to find. The pen does not have an eraser at its end. Most good Wacom digitizer pens have a button at the end opposite the point. That button activates the eraser tool in nearly all pen-enabled software—and again, this pen lacks that button. So you have to activate the eraser some other way. Internal Pen is Best As Emergency Backup Due to these three issues, I use the included internal pen mainly as an emergency backup, and instead keep a few extra full-sized Wacom pens handy for normal use.
Buying Extra Pens So where can you buy full-size Wacom pens separate from a tablet? But others are available. Trouble with Loose Pens The trouble with loose pens is you forget them. This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

Write a review. Design 1. We consider a lower weight better because lighter devices are more comfortable to carry. A lower weight is also an advantage for home appliances, as it makes transportation easier, and for many other types of products. We consider a thinner chassis better because it makes the product more compact and portable. Thinness is a feature highlighted by many manufacturers of mobile devices, but it is essential for a wide range of products.
The width represents the horizontal dimension of the product. We consider a smaller width better because it assures easy maneuverability. The height represents the vertical dimension of the product. We consider a smaller height better because it assures easy maneuverability. Volume is the quantity of three-dimensional space enclosed by the product's chassis or, in simpler terms, the space the product occupies. A stylus is a pen-like accessory that allows you to interact with the touchscreen with greater precision, and is particularly useful for drawing and writing.
You can detach the keyboard of your device and use the screen as a tablet. Detaching the keyboard makes the device lighter and gives you the possibility to switch easily between laptop-mode and tablet-mode. The keyboard is included when buying the device. The keyboard is backlit, making it easier to type in the dark or dim lighting.
The device is dustproof and water-resistant. Water-resistant devices can resist the penetration of water, such as powerful water jets, but not being submerged into water. Display 1. The bigger the screen size is, the better the user experience. They have higher contrast ratios and wider viewing angles compared to LCDs. It was designed to overcome the main limitations of conventional twisted nematic TFT displays: limited viewing angles and low-quality color reproduction.
Resolution is an essential indicator of a screen's image quality, representing the maximum amount of pixels that can be shown on the screen. The resolution is given as a compound value, comprised of horizontal and vertical pixels. Pixel density is a measurement of a screen's resolution, expressed as the number of pixels per inch PPI on the screen.
A higher pixel density translates into more clarity and sharpness for the images rendered on the screen, thus improving the quality of the viewing experience. The frequency at which the screen is refreshed. Higher frequency results in less flickering less noise and more natural movement representation in action-intense scenes.
Damage-resistant glass such as Corning Gorilla Glass or Asahi Dragontrail Glass is thin, lightweight, and can withstand high levels of force. This helps to reduce the reflection from your device. Compared to standard dynamic range SDR video, HDR10 video has greater contrast and color depth, resulting in more realistic images. Performance 1. The internal storage refers to the built-in storage space available in a device for system data, apps, and user-generated data.
With a large amount of internal storage, you can save more files and apps on your device. RAM 2GB. Random-access memory RAM is a form of volatile memory used to store working data and machine code currently in use. It is a quick-access, temporary virtual storage that can be read and changed in any order, thus enabling fast data processing. CPU speed 2 x 1.
The CPU speed indicates how many processing cycles per second can be executed by a CPU, considering all of its cores processing units. It is calculated by adding the clock rates of each core or, in the case of multi-core processors employing different microarchitectures, of each group of cores. The device has a standard memory slot such as an SD or micro SD card slot that enables you to extend the built-in internal storage with affordable memory modules, or easily retrieve data, such as photographs, from the memory card.
Small semiconductors provide better performance and reduced power consumption. Chipsets with a higher number of transistors, semiconductor components of electronic devices, offer more computational power. A small form factor allows more transistors to fit on a chip, therefore increasing its performance. It also allows you to run bit apps. The maximum amount of external storage memory supported by the the device.
LTE is capable of downloading at faster speeds than older, 3G technology. Uses big. Using big. LITTLE technology, a chip can switch between two sets of processor cores to maximize performance and battery life. For example, when playing a game the more powerful cores will be used to increase performance, whereas checking email will use the less powerful cores to maximize battery life. Cameras 1. The number of megapixels determines the resolution of the images captured with the main camera.
